My Story- A Musical Journey!
"IT is my profession, Music is my passion and religion as well!" - says Harit Bhasin, 29 year old from Karol Bagh. His life revolves around juggling between the IT industry, global business administration and his passion for music. "Well I have 3 hours journey to and fro between home and office, so I sing along during the journey" says Harit, budding musician who in this manner finds time for Music during weekdays. His weekends are spent in jamming with his folks of Kalakriti Band, a Delhi based rock band . One of the finest accomplishments of the band was performing at Noida Stadium in Shilpotsav where the band shared the stage with artists like Shreya Ghoshal and Ghulam Ali. Other groups which he has joined are "Jammers United Of Delhi Etc. (JUDE)" & "Delhi Drum Circles(DDC)", groups which help him share his passion of music with other fun loving music enthusiasts.
“Music is in my genes and it comes naturally to me" - says Harit as both his grandmother and father are singers. Apparently, Harit is just carrying the legacy forward. Music was imbibed in him since childhood. The journey started when he was just of 5 years old and yet sung a melodious song in the school morning assembly. The song impressed everyone present and the kid was given a cheque of Rs. 100 as an encouraging gesture from the school principal. "That was my first salary cheque" laughs Harit. He started learning harmonium and singing from school’s Music teacher thereafter. "I started singing for school choir and then when I moved to high school, I used to play national anthem on harmonium in the morning assembly" says Harit. "I was a frequent guest on the TV as well! I was telecasted in the serial "Chutti Chutti", a Doordarshan program that used to come during the grand summer holidays, it was my first stint with television" cites Harit.
